The pool has undergone a complete facelift since last season, thanks largely to council funding and much work by pool volunteers. The most noticeable change is in the color of the building, which is still undergoing its transformation from the original 60's brickwork to what will be a visually splendid mural adorning the walls as patrons arrive.
Gone are the days of burnt feet while you get changed! Both change rooms now boast a brand new roof and have also been painted throughout, transforming then almost beyond recognition. New water saving shower heads have been installed and a ventilation system is also due to be fitted.
Noel Bott, the pool's right hand man, has the grounds looking splendid again, with the aid of the rain and bore water helping to maintain the lush green grass throughout the drought.
We welcome you to share and join the summer community that converges on the pool and all that it has to offer over the 2009/10 season.
Join us for the welcome back BBQ for volunteers and community members on Friday, 11 December from 4pm to 8pm. Bring along all your picnic needs and a salad or sweet to share.
