Hello everyone.  Another fun Christmas breakup has been and gone (seems so long ago).  Once again we had a great year and we are very proud to announce that our club has two new Junior Blackbelts.  We congratulate Issha and Courtney (our first female Newsteadian Junior Blackbelts).  They completed their grading the week before the breakup.  The presentation of their belts will be shortly after our return in 2010.

The recipient of our Merv Lorraine Encouragement Award this year was Rischelle Jackson.  Her hard work and commitment this yer made her a worthy recipient.  We were honoured to have Lorma Lorraine present the trophy to Rischelle at our breakup.

Which brings me to the opening date for this year.  Monday 8 February 2010 is the start of training - 6.15 to 7.30 pm at the Newstead Community Centre.  Teachers Barry, Jen, Steve, Kurt, Liam and president Wendy are looking forward to seeing you once again.

Training fees for 2010 remain $5 per session.  Family discounts apply.
